HAZELTON-Eva Albright, 82, passed away in Medicine Lodge, Kansas on Monday, October 11, 2004. Funeral service will be Thursday, October 14, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church in Kiowa with Pastor Wayne Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa, Kansas.

Eva was born in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma to Cecil and Elsie Bloom Alexander on February 7, 1922. She attended Friendship Elementary School and graduated from Kiowa High School with the class of 1940. She and Bud Albright were united in marriage on January 10, 1942 and to that union two children were born. She was a homemaker, loved to collect antiques, she grew flowers and was a caretaker for anyone in need. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the UMW, Eastern Star for 50 years, Kiowa Delphi Club, Ladies Aux. of the VFW, and helped organize the Senior Citizen Center in Kiowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and both brothers; Lawrence and Virgil.

She is survived by her husband, Bud of Hazelton, two sons; Bob and wife, Jeannie of Hazelton, Kansas, John and wife, Ralora of Dodge City, Kansas, four grandchildren, Michael Albright of Hays, Kansas, Chris Albright of Hazelton, Sarah Albright and Miranda Albright both of Dodge City, Kansas, one great-grandchild; Jesse Albright of Dodge City, Kansas, one sister; Fern Davis of Weatherford, Texas, two sister-in-laws; Doris Plank of Lyons, Kansas, and Stella Spangler of Grass Valley, California.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Women’s group or American Diabetes Association through the funeral home. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lanmanfuneralhomes.com

The casket will be open at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 from 12:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and at the church before the service.
