Lilly Mae Abel left this world on angel's wings Thursday, May 27th, 2010 at her home in Oklahoma City, OK. She fought a courageous battle with cancer. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. u.A. Harris on July 24th, 1939 in Tulsa, OK. Lilly was a friendly lady and was involved in many church, charity and community activities. She graduated from Tulsa's Central High School in 1956 and later received an Associate's Degree in 1983 from TJC as well as a Bachelor's Degree from VCT in 1993. She attended Gracemont and Eastwood Baptist Church, then moved to Oklahoma City, to be closer to family due to her illness, and attended Highland Hills Baptist Church. Her most recent employers were MAPCO and Bama Pie. She retired from Bama after 14 years of service. Those left to celebrate her life are her daughter Susan Loris and husband Roy, honorary daughter Debi Hafner, grandchildren Monica Mohler, Austin, Heather Abel, Johnathon and Brandon Loris, a great granddaughter Rori Langford, brothers, Homer, Richard, Bobby Harris and sisters, Betty Trantham, Regina Surber, Melba Tillery and Lilly's beloved Bichon, Mikey. With her passing she is reunited with her parents, son, brothers and other family members and friends. Services will be held Saturday, June 5th at 10:00 am, Memorial Park Cemetery's Chapel in Tulsa. We will deeply miss her smile and sense of humor. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Okla. County Sr. Nutrition Program, American Red Cross or American Cancer Society.
