Harry Lee Driscoll was born October 15, 1920 at Bixby, Oklahoma. He was the son of Charles Driscoll and Fern Bell Driscoll. Harry passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Manor Care Health Services in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 89 years of age.
Harry grew up in the Bixby area. He attended Bixby High School, graduating with the Class of 1941. Harry continued his education at Spartan School of Aeronautics earning a license in aircraft maintenance.
Harry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the USS Saratoga, USS Yorktown and USS Franklin in the Pacific.
Harry Driscoll and Ruth Dyer were united in marriage on January 5, 1942 at Corvalis, Oregon. They have celebrated 68 years of marriage. During that time they have resided in Tulsa all of their married life.
Harry was employed with American Airlines as a mechanic for 37 years, retiring in 1983. Harry was a member of the Transit Workers Union. In his spare time, Harry enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Joe.
