Virginia "Ginny" Alderson

Virginia Alderson of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma passed this life on Monday, July 13, 2009 in Muskogee at the age of 60. Virginia was born to Freeman and Dorothy Black on July 15, 1948
in Middleborough, Massachusetts.
She was known as "Ginny" by her family and friends. Ginny worked in Dallas at the DFW Airport for a few years. She met and married Corbett Alderson on May 8, 1982 in Irving, Texas. Ginny and Corbett moved from Texas to the Fort Gibson area in 2005. She enjoyed collecting antiques for her home. Ginny's favorite time of year was Christmas, she decorated several trees in her home and even her pets had their own Christmas stockings decorated. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother that took pride in making a nice home for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Jackie and Roland and two sisters; Shirley and Eleanore.

Ginny is survived by her husband Corbett of Ft. Gibson, three sons; Tom Butler of Ft. Gibson, Michael Butler and his wife Dawn of Greenville, TX and Carl Watson and his wife Constance of Skiatook, OK.
One brother Edward Black of Middleborough, Massachusetts, two sisters; Patty Stoddard of Middleborough, MA and Joann Banks of Plymouth, MA. Nine grandchildren; Josh, Jose, Kaylyn, Mickey, Dusten, Caira, Montana, Cody and Dawson. Several nieces, nephews other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Raymond Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at the Bennett Cemetery in Wagoner.
