Bruce Channing Anderson passed away on December 31, 2008. He was born on January 19, 1930, in Miami, Oklahoma, to Carl and Lillis Anderson. On April 4, 1964, he married Jacqueline Anita Camp, who preceded Bruce in death on March 8, 2008. Bruce is survived by son Erik and his wife Sharon of Flower Mound, Texas, along with two grandchildren, Brooks and Claire. He is also survived by brother Wayne Anderson of Colorado, as well as many other beloved family members and friends. He had just returned home from spending Christmas with his son and family in Texas.
Bruce graduated valedictorian of Cascia Hall High School in Tulsa and then earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma State University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He worked briefly for American Airlines and then for many years with Ozark Mahoning Company as a marketing executive in Tulsa until he retired. He was a wonderful husband, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, and friend, and will be missed by many.
At Bruce’s request, there will be no formal funeral service, but there will be a private graveside ceremony for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church, where Bruce was a long-time member.
