Real Estate entrepreneur, passed from this life Monday, October 22, 2007. He was born May 9, 1935, in Bristow, OK. to Otis Donald & Myrtle (Mayes) Allen. He was a 1953 graduate of Tulsa Central High School, attended Oklahoma Military Academy, and attended college at Oklahoma State University. Greg spent most of his working years as a real estate entrepreneur as a principal in Allen Properties Company, Allen Construction Company, and Nottingham Residential Development. He also spent his early working years in the family business, Allen’s Ice Cream Company, and later worked for Tulsa Urban Renewal. Greg loved Oklahoma and rarely ventured too far from it. He loved spending time with his family, wood working, hunting and fishing, and relaxing at the lake.
He is survived by his four children, Kathy Phipps and husband Robbie of Coweta; Barbara Hoffman and husband Joe of Tulsa; Mark Allen and wife Pam of Tulsa; Jeff Allen and wife Joy of Tulsa; eight grandchildren, Kendra (Wesson) Allen, Joe Hoffman Jr., Stefanie (Hoffman) Pitt, Garrod Allen, Dalton Allen, Tyler Allen, Kaitlin Allen, and Lauren Allen, three great grandchildren, Haley Jo Hoffman, Bryce Renae Allen, and Noah Allen. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Betty (Harts) Whitaker of Oologah and his brother and business partner, John Allen and his wife Shirley of Tulsa. Greg was preceded in death by his parents.
