Lloyd Walden Abbott was born July 4, 1923 at Calumet, Oklahoma. He was the son of Glen Walden Abbott & Hattie Fisher Abbott. Lloyd passed away Monday, August 21, 2006 at the Veteran's Center in Talihina, Oklahoma. He was 83 years of age.

Lloyd had resided in the Tulsa area since 1965. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Lloyd earned a degree in Engineering for the University of Oklahoma in 1948.

Lloyd proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946. He attained the rank of Corporal and received the WWII Victory Ribbon, a good conduct medal, American & EAME Theater Ribbons and two bronze service stars.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jean in 2002.
